The Gig Harbor History Museum features exhibits illustrating the rich heritage of the Gig Harbor Peninsula. Experience the fishing, boatbuilding, logging, and other related industries that dominated the rhythm of life in Gig Harbor for 100 years. The collection includes more than 6,000 photographs and 10,000 artifacts and documents.
The new Harbor History Museum opens in late summer, 2008, featuring pieces from "Galloping Gertie," the restored 1983 Midway one-room Schoolhouse, and the 65-foot Shenandoah fishing vessel restoration project.
